Join us on a journey to the stars! We'll travel through space as and delve into astronomy we solve this problem: How can we use the arts to make science cool? During the week we'll explore the STEAM (Science, Technology Engineering, Art and Math) fields in our creative quest to unlock the mysteries of space.
We'll kick off this girls-only camp by chatting with NASA employees about how they get the public excited about science and space. Then we'll investigate all things astronomy and use the arts to promote outer space right here in our own community.
We're excited to announce our partnership with the Syracuse Astronomical Society. Campers will develop tools to help publicize the SAS and its mission to residents of CNY.
Use a solar scope to view the sun, then design & build a solar cooker to harness its energy as we bake tasty treats
Travel through the galaxy inside a visiting planetarium
Design a "Mission Patch"
Develop and produce an astronomy themed t-shirt to promote space
Stay tuned for more!
